The building of Cutler & Co., Fitzroy, is full of character (as well as amazing food!) as it used to be a metal works factory. Now, the high ceilings and raw brickwork are combined with modern furnishings to create an appealing space of greens, browns and whites. Whether you are ordering any of their amazing a la carte dishes or lashing out with the degustation, they will tantalise your tastebuds and give you a dining experience you won’t soon forget.

The Cutler & Co. Degustation Experience

After our beautiful artisan bread with fresh butter and peas, we started the Cutler & Co. degustation with a fresh bite of Hiramasa kingfish, clams, horseradish & seaweed. I’m always an absolute sucker for sashimi, and kingfish is one of my favourites. This was followed by a sweeter dish of spanner crab, fresh polenta & golden chicken broth. Next, we were treated to the zingy taste of flounder with brown butter & pickles. The following dish was celeriac, wild mushrooms, chestnut & nettle. Even though none of the ingredients in that dish jumped of the page at me, in combination they were incredibly tasty. After this we were into the final stages of savoury offerings with the mouth-watering dry aged duck, blood plum, beetroot & hazelnut. Lastly, our palates enjoyed rich chocolate mousse with fig leaf ice cream, prune & filo pastry. Scrumptious! The matched wines did not disappoint and the service was excellent.
