Hutch & Co Cafe, Lilydale

Three words: ALL DAY BREAKFAST. But not just any breakfast, a blissful sensory delight of a breakfast. We were so grateful to be introduced to Hutch & Co as it is an absolute gem of a cafe. When you visit, I would definitely recommend bringing along lots of friends. You will then have ‘picking rights’ to sample their menu choices! And you will want to sample everything! It’s a beautiful, bright friendly place with lots of natural light, tantalising flavours and friendly staff.

The Hutch & Co Breakfast Board

This epic “sharing board for two” (arguably enough to feed an army) includes “eggs any way you like” as well as avocado, slow cooked pork, short cut bacon, grilled tomatoes, mushrooms, crispy fritter, spinach, a house made hash brown and a scrumptiously sweet serve of French toast soaked in custard. Honestly this would have been enough for the three of us, but even knowing this in advance wasn’t enough to prevent us from sharing a second dish just for the experience!

Hutch & Co’s Sweet Benny

None of us could go past this amazing offering. The ‘Sweet Benny’ involves poached eggs served on toasted brioche with braised pork and seeded mustard hollandaise. That would be delicious in its own right, but this dish uses zillions of tiny slices of fresh, crunchy apple to ensure that every bite has a zing that will put a massive smile on your dial.

It is well worth the trip – any day of the week. All day breakfast means you have no excuse for running out of time! As I said, Hutch & Co present a beautiful, light filled venue with long tables, a busy kitchen, friendly staff and delicious coffee.
